August 19th. BC. Nelson

The Grand Hotel in Nelson is a pure 30th "Functional style" hotel, even our bed, chairs and bathroom tiles were vintage pieces.

A view on the "West Arm Kootenay Lake" from the little Nelson Harbour.

The West Arm Bridge almost as proud as the Golden Gate. In many ways there's this micro San Francisco kind of feeling about this old gold and silver town.

...We actually never saw any police officers in Nelson... I guess they were too busy!

Nelson is a very cute little town, full of hippies and other alternative thinking people. The surroundings are fantastic with the Selkirk mountains overlooking the town.
